Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the roboTEDwebsite and services (the "Platform") operated by Wartens Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15262249, VAT No. 473020522) ("we", "us", "our"). Our registered office is at 8, Lyon Road, Milton Keynes MK1 1EX.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

  • "Customer" means the individual or business entity renting or purchasing a robot through the Platform.
  • "Robot" means any robotic device, cobot, or automated system listed on the Platform.
  • "Rental Period" means the agreed duration of the robot rental as specified in the booking confirmation.
  • "Supplier" means the third-party owner or manufacturer of a robot listed on the Platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of England and Wales. Business customers must be duly authorised to enter contracts on behalf of their organisation.

4. Rental Terms

All robot rentals are subject to availability and confirmation. Rental fees are quoted exclusive of VAT (currently 20%) unless otherwise stated. The rental period begins on the confirmed delivery date and ends on the scheduled return date.

Late returns may incur additional charges at the applicable daily rate plus a 25% surcharge. The Customer is responsible for the robot during the entire rental period and must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and Rental Agreement.

5. Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumer customers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking confirmation during which they may cancel for a full refund, provided the rental has not yet commenced.

If you wish to cancel within the cooling-off period, please contact us at hello@roboted.io. Once the robot has been delivered and the rental period has started, the cooling-off right no longer applies.

6. Payment

Payment is processed securely via our third-party payment provider (Stripe). Full payment or an agreed deposit is required at the time of booking. We accept major debit and credit cards. All transactions are in GBP.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the rental start date: full refund.
  • Cancellations made 7–14 days before: 75% refund.
  • Cancellations made 3–7 days before: 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 3 days before or no-shows: no refund.

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wartens Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any rented robot.

Our total liability in respect of any rental shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Customer for that rental. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials on the Platform are the property of Wartens Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
