Robot Rental Agreement

1. Parties
This Robot Rental Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Wartens Ltd("roboTED", "we", "us") and the Customer ("you", "Hirer") as identified in the booking confirmation.
2. Delivery
- We will deliver the robot to the address specified in your booking confirmation on the agreed date.
- Delivery is included for mainland UK addresses on Growth and Enterprise plans. Starter plan and remote locations may incur additional delivery charges.
- You must provide safe, suitable access for delivery and setup. Any delays caused by access issues are at the Hirer's cost.
- A delivery handover checklist will be completed and signed by both parties upon delivery. The robot's condition at delivery will be documented with photographs.
3. Permitted Use
- The robot must be used only for the purpose stated in the booking confirmation and in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines.
- The robot must be operated in a safe environment suitable for its type and classification.
- The Hirer must ensure all operators have received appropriate training (provided or approved by roboTED).
- The robot must not be moved to a different location without our prior written consent.
4. Care and Maintenance
- The Hirer must take reasonable care of the robot during the rental period, keeping it clean and protected from damage.
- No modifications, repairs, disassembly, or tampering with the robot or its software is permitted.
- The robot must be charged and stored in accordance with the provided operating manual.
- Any faults, malfunctions, or damage must be reported to roboTED immediately at hello@roboted.io or by calling our 24/7 support line.
5. Insurance
All robots are covered by roboTED's standard insurance policy, which covers accidental damage during normal use. The standard policy does not cover:
- Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or unauthorised modifications.
- Theft or loss due to inadequate security.
- Damage caused by operating outside the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Cosmetic wear beyond normal use.
Comprehensive insurance upgrades are available at checkout for an additional fee.
6. Damage Deposit
- A refundable damage deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit amount is stated on the listing page and booking confirmation.
- The deposit is taken at the time of booking and held securely until the robot is returned.
- Upon return, the robot is inspected against the delivery checklist. If no damage is found, the deposit is refunded within 14 business days.
- If damage is identified, we will provide a detailed repair cost estimate. Repair costs will be deducted from the deposit. If repair costs exceed the deposit, the Hirer is liable for the difference.
7. Return Conditions
- The robot must be returned on the agreed date in the same condition as delivered, subject to reasonable wear and tear.
- Collection will be arranged by roboTED. The Hirer must ensure the robot is accessible, fully charged, and ready for collection at the agreed time.
- All accessories, chargers, manuals, and packaging provided at delivery must be returned with the robot.
- Late returns will incur charges at the applicable daily rental rate plus a 25% late return surcharge.
- A return inspection will be conducted on-site with the Hirer present. Both parties will sign the return checklist.
8. Liability
The Hirer is responsible for any damage to, or loss of, the robot during the rental period (excluding fair wear and tear). The Hirer is also responsible for any injury or damage to third parties caused by the operation of the robot during the rental.
roboTED is not liable for any business losses, lost profits, or consequential damages arising from robot downtime or malfunction.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
